Our team run in the New Boys Stadium went very well today. There was a great buzz amongst the players during the short run out as preparations were going to plan. We are looking to reverse the result of the Six Nations Championshipfixturewhere we suffered our only defeat of the tournamentagainst the French. At this stage everyone is just looking forward to getting the competition underway and hopefully off to a winning start.
The team was very disappointed with today’s result. It felt like we dominated the play but couldn’t put the points on the board to show this. In fairness to the French, they were a good team but I think the game was there to be won. Absolutely gutted with the loss but we will have to suck it up as the break between matches is short and we face the English in four days, a must win match if we want to keep our chances of winning the Championship alive.
