I only ever 'knew' Fergus through his arrangements for the biannual get together of Rockewellians in Paris on the day of the France - Ireland matches. He, ably abetted by Francois Christiani, organised a great lunch and even a signing of "rock boys are we"
News of his death came as a great shock, being unaware that he might have beeen unwell, although his absence from the 2009 outing was said to be due to ill health.
He will be missed, we'll raise a glass to his memory in 2011.
