Welcome to the Prize Day section of Rockwell College Union!
Here you'll find information on one of
the most celebratory days in the Rockwell College calendar. Held
to honour the good deeds of students at the college, this annual
day-long ceremony is a chance to see students getting the recognition
they deserve for extra curricular activites, not examinable on any
test. Sports, Academic and other awards show the fruition of hard-work,
dedication and a love for the college by students; national, international,
young, old, senior and junior.
Report by President John Duffy
"I
attended the 141st Rockwell College Prize Day on behalf of the Union
on 26th May. It was a memorable day superbly organised by Pat O'Sullivan
and his team in Rockwell. The Student of the Year Gold Medal was
awarded to Cathy O'Donoghue (seen left with President
John Duffy), the James Joy Senior Debating Gold Medal was presented
to Seán O'Fitzgerald and the Thomas McDonagh
Literary Award went to Tiernan Fitzgibbon."
