3-Year Out Informal Reunion

On Friday February 3rd, the past pupils who have left Rockwell in the past three years held an informal reunion in Kilkenny. The event was generously sponsored by the Union. Attendance was strongest from the class of 2004 but there was also some representation of 2003 and 2005. In all, a crowd of about 30 turned up, a number sure to grow in future years.

We arrived in Kilkenny from all over and made our way to the venue, Kytler’s Inn. Finger food was generously provided by the proprietors and it wasn’t long before the night was in full swing. With free entry to Nero’s nightclub provided, this was the next port of call and it can safely be said that a great night was had by all! The evening was capped off with a minibus waiting at the end of the night to whisk those who wished back to Clonmel.

The event was a big success, and plans are underway to make it an annual get-together. Special thanks are due to J.D. Flynn for his organisation of the food, prizes etc. and of course, it couldn’t have been possible without the support of the Union committee.
